About Our Community

Springfield Jewish Federation
Our Jewish community is about 1% of the area in and around Springfield in central Illinois. As the capital of the state, it is the seat of state government as well as home to insurance entities, higher education (University of Illinois in Springfield, Lincoln Land Community College, Robert Morris University, Springfield College/Benedictine University), a strong medical community (Southern Illinois University College of Medicine, St. John's Hospital, and Memoral Medical Center), good public and private schools and a whole host of very nice people. Springfield has about 115,000 people within the city limits, and many in the exurbs of the city.

Local PJ Partner

Local PJ Funders have been Len and Gail Lieberman and Gary and Kari Horowitz.
