Seattle (King and South Snohomish counties)

About Our Community

The Jewish Federation of Greater Seattle works to ensure a vibrant Jewish community that is connected locally, in Israel and worldwide. The Jewish Federation nurtures Jewish identity and builds Jewish community. We welcome the full diversity of our Jewish community. We help develop and leverage the community’s resources to address needs and solve community problems, through leadership and encouragement of strategic partnerships.

As the community convener, the Jewish Federation brings organizations and community representatives together to look at opportunities and solve problems through partnership. At the same time, we help connect people to the Jewish community by creating new opportunities and enhancing existing ones.

As a Center for Jewish Philanthropy, the Jewish Federation acts as catalyst and a facilitator for donors to engage in Jewish giving [tzedakah], by matching their philanthropic interests with needs locally, in Israel and worldwide.
