About Our Community

Kehillah Partnership, an innovative, community-wide effort to build a stronger and more engaged Jewish community across institutional and denominational lines, is pleased to bring The PJ Library to Northern New Jersey.  Kehillah Partnership (kehillah is Hebrew for community) aims to reinvigorate community through the sharing of resources, the enhancement and integration of informal and formal Jewish education for all ages, and the creation of new opportunities for the unengaged to connect and identify.  Kehillah Partnership offers a ground-breaking approach to stemming the tide of alienation among Jews - younger Jews in particular - from the larger Jewish community and communal organizations.  Kehillah Partnership, with the support of the Bergen County YJCC, Kaplen JCC on the Palisades, YM-YWHA of North Jersey, and UJA Federation of Northern New Jersey, promotes collaboration between all of the community's institutions and encourages the creation of innovative programming.

Local PJ Partner

The PJ Library, a program of the Kehillah Partnership, is facilitated by the Bergen YJCC. The PJ Library is funded by The Russell Berrie Foundation, Kaplen JCC on the Palisades, the UJA Federation of Northern New Jersey, and the Bergen County YJCC with additional support from Eva and Howard Jakob.
