About Our Community
GEN J is a strategic long-term investment in the future of Jewish Montreal. It is a comprehensive, cutting edge, innovative approach to the development and nurturing of Jewish identity and community attachment, best viewed as an interconnected series of programs and initiatives, representing a network of partnerships with organizations, both within and beyond Montreal. GEN J is being realized through close partnerships with FEDERATION CJA, major donors and community leaders, and the Jewish Community Foundation of Montreal. Together, we are dedicated to fulfilling the vision of invigorating our community and ensuring that young people are connected to Jewish traditions, culture, values and each other.
The PJ Library® in Montreal is an integral program of GEN J.
Local PJ Partner
The PJ Library® program in Montreal is funded locally by the Marlene and Joel King Family Foundation, with support from the Harold Grinspoon Foundation and FEDERATION CJA and is brought to you by the Jewish Public Library.

Every month you will receive a book FREE – no strings attached! PJ Library subscriptions are available for the first 550 registered children ages six months through five and a half years residing in Montreal and the surrounding areas (West Island, Laval, South Shore, Laurentians). Enrollment is on a first come, first serve basis. If more than 550 children register, we will create a wait list as we secure additional funding to bring this wonderful program to all our children. The PJ Library® will enrich the lives of you and your children as you turn special reading moments into Jewish moments. Join The PJ Library® in Montreal! Remember it is FREE and without obligation.
