Eastern Fairfield

About Our Community

The central Jewish organization of Eastern Fairfield County / Greater Bridgeport is the JCCS - The Jewish Center for Community Services. The JCCS is the umbrella agency that operates our local UJA-Federation and our JCC. It’s mission is to support and provide philanthropic, educational, social, health and recreational programs and services for our community locally, in Israel and overseas.

The Federation and JCC fulfill this mission through our community’s Annual Campaign, and by offering a wide range of values-based, high quality programs and services for children, youth, teens, adults and families. In partnership with individual donors, synagogues, charitable organizations, social service agencies and educational institutions, the Federation and JCC work to build a vibrant, cohesive and healthy Jewish community.

Local PJ Partner

David and Edie Chaifetz are long standing supporters of our Federation’s Annual Campaign, our JCC and other community institutions. They are interested in finding creative ways to help strengthen our community through educating our Jewish children. The PJ Library represents the Chaifetz’s newest philanthropic initiative, with initial funding through their Charitable Fund at the Jewish Community Foundation. Together, David and Edie, and the UJA Federation, hope that this gift (and others that follow) will enrich your family’s life with Jewish stories and songs for many years to come.
