Ann Arbor

About Our Community

The Jewish Federation of Greater Ann Arbor is our community's connection to celebrating Jewish life and strengthening Jewish life in every corner of the world. At the center of one of the most diverse, welcoming Jewish communities in America, the Federation is driven by its mandate to foster Jewish communal life through the spirit of tzedakah (righteousness) and tikkun olam (social justice). Federation initiates, coordinates, and supports activities here at home and around the world that strengthen Jewish life. Our Annual Campaign disburses more than $1.7 million to a dozen agencies and programs in greater Ann Arbor; our overseas partners serve Jews in 60 other countries including Israel. Russian immigrants, religious school teachers, pre-schoolers, the hungry, the needy...no Jew in need escapes the long arm of the Jewish Federation. Together with our partner organizations, we do a world of good.
